Tixel® is a unique medical device that harnesses the force of nature to re-shape skin technology. Powered by our proprietary Thermo-Mechanical Action technology (TMA®), Tixel® combines heat and motion. Its medical grade in situ sterile titanium tip gently applies pure natural heat to the skin, safely moving forward for visible results.
Tixel® is suitable for all skin types and for a wide variety of aesthetic and medical treatments, with its patented non-invasive technology and clinical results backed by numerous peer reviewed publications. Versatile, easy to use and ergonomic in design, Tixel® is ideal for clinics of any size and for multi-site practices.
– USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE
Tixel® has a graphic user interface with just two treatment parameters. It is simple to use, with a quick learning curve so that treatment can be easily and safely delegated.
– MEDICAL-GRADE TITANIUM TIP
A medical-grade titanium tip is located in the handpiece and is reusable and easy to clean. This in situ pre-heated tip is also sterile upon operation. As the tip moves forward and makes very brief contact with the skin, thermal energy is transferred. There is no emitted radiation, smoke, fumes or bleeding. Furthermore, goggles are not required as the system is eye safe.
– TWO LIGHT HANDPIECES
Customize patient treatment precisely: Tixel®’s 2 handpieces – facial and periorbital – can be used for large (1 cm2) and small (0.3 cm2) treatment areas. The periorbital handpiece is ideal for around the eyes, on narrow treatment areas around the nose, on deep wrinkles on upper lips, and stretch marks.
TMA® is a technology, specially developed by Novoxel®, that’s forward in thinking and in its action. It uniquely combines motion and heat with the forward movement of a medical-grade titanium tip. This proprietary non-laser fractional technology transfers thermal energy to skin very quickly and safely: energy is emitted through a matrix of tiny pyramid-shaped pins made of biocompatible materials covering a treatment area of 1cm². The pins are heated to a temperature of 400°C and are self-sterilized.
Tixel can be used for multiple indications and treatment areas, providing excellent value for money and fast ROI.
During operation, the tip is maintained at a temperature of 400°C and is selfsterilized. There are no fumes, smoke or bleeding in treatment.
Save on logistics and save on waste - no disposables required.
Pain and downtime are typically relatively low compared to ablative laser treatment. Make-up can be applied the day after treatment.
F.A.Q
A: Tixel is a fractional thermomechanical skin resurfacing system. It uses a heated titanium tip to create tiny, controlled micro-thermal zones in the skin. This triggers the skin’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen production and leading to skin tightening, improved texture, and reduced wrinkles. It’s different from lasers as it doesn’t use light energy.
A: Tixel is versatile and can treat a variety of skin concerns, including:
– Fine lines and wrinkles
– Skin laxity
– Sun damage and age spots
– Acne scars (some types)
– Uneven skin tone and texture
– Stretch marks (some types)
– Enlarged pores
A: Tixel can be used on both the face and body, including delicate areas like:
– Face (including around the eyes and mouth)
– Neck
– Chest (décolletage)
– Hands
A: Most patients report minimal discomfort during a Tixel treatment. A topical numbing cream is usually applied before the procedure to enhance comfort. You might feel a warm, tingling sensation during the treatment.
A: The number of treatments varies depending on the individual and the specific skin concerns being addressed. Typically, a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
A: Some patients notice immediate improvements in skin texture and tightness after just one treatment. However, the most significant results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases. Results can last for several months, but maintenance treatments are often recommended to prolong the benefits.
A: Downtime after Tixel is typically minimal. You may experience some redness and swelling for a few hours to a few days. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately or within a day or two.
A: Tixel is suitable for most skin types and tones. However, it may not be appropriate for individuals with certain medical conditions, active skin infections, or during pregnancy. A consultation with a qualified practitioner is essential to determine suitability.
A: Side effects are generally mild and temporary. The most common side effects include redness, swelling, and a slight sunburn-like sensation. Other possible side effects, though less common, include temporary changes in skin pigmentation or minor textural irregularities.
